Schedule Change Request Process

The counseling department will send proactive communication about the exact schedule change request process and timeline each year, but below is what you can typically expect.
 
Student schedules are typically available to view the day before the 1st day of school each year and can be found on StudentVUE by clicking ‘Class Schedule’, then you can check your Quarter 1 through Quarter 4 schedule.
 
Schedule change requests should happen before the start of the quarter that would be impacted and the sooner the request happens the higher likelihood that a change may be possible. During the start of a new school year students typically can still request changes to their schedule for the first 3 days of school, but after that the schedules are locked for Quarter 1.
 
Requests for schedule changes typically must be made by filling out the paper Schedule Change Request Form available in the Student Services Building. Email change requests will usually not be accepted. Keep in mind schedules may still need to be adjusted before and after the term starts for a variety of reasons.
 
Submitting a schedule change request does not guarantee that a change will happen or is possible.
 
Schedule changes will not be granted for the following reasons: 
  • Student wants a different teacher 
  • Student wants a different period 
  • Student wants a different lunch
 
You can see who your counselor is in StudentVue by clicking the ‘Student Info’ Tab. Counselors check student schedules and transcripts to make sure they stay on track for graduation and college eligibility whenever possible. Counselors provide support for all students in the areas related to academics, scheduling, college/career preparation, and social-emotional development.
