11th Graders (Incoming Class)

This is for incoming 11th grade students only (current 10th graders)

  1
PRE-Course Selection Google Slides/PowerPoint Instructions (From Student Advocacy Lesson)

This will help you brainstorm options with your family and prepare for live in-person course selection.

Students use the electronic Course Selection Form Preview and (Google) 4-Year Plan/Schedule Worksheet below to create an Example Schedule and will have a chance to share this with their families before the in-person Course Selection Event. Do this from a computer because it will not work well from your phone.

Electronic Course Selection Form Preview (see below): This is for previewing and exploring class options, but still must fill out the paper course selection form during your course selection night.

    • This is for exploration only and will not be turned in.

4-Year Plan/Schedule Worksheet (see below): This is your own example schedule worksheet to see what can fit in a full schedule to prepare for course selection night.

 2
11th GRADE COURSE SELECTION: Students must attend their grade-level course selection night.

  • Incoming 11th Grade Course Selection (this is a drop-in event, so students can come and go when complete.)

    • Thursday, February 5th 3:20-5:30 PM in the MP Room

Additional Resources to Help With Course Selection:

Math Progression Flowchart (talk to your current math teacher and counselor if you have questions)

Franklin Course Catalog (all classes potentially offered with descriptions, but this may change depending on student interest & staffing needs)

Dual Enrollment/Community College Classes Info (separate process from course selection - summer is often the best time to try this)
  • These classes do not replace high school courses and are not entered on your Franklin transcript
