AP & PSAT Exam Info

PSAT Exam Registration Info:

The PSAT is coming! On Monday, October 13th at 8:30AM, Franklin High School will be administering the PSAT for interested ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade students. The PSAT is a practice SAT test of students’ math analysis and language arts skills. The test costs $18 but EGUSD will pay the fee for all interested 10th grade students and the 11th grade students who qualify for free and reduced lunch if you have questions about being on the College Board fee waiver list, please contact Mr. Felkins at mfelkins@egusd.net. 9th graders are not eligible for fee waivers and must pay for the test if they are interested. 
 
10th graders who wish to take the exam must register by October 3rd by filling out this form. 10th Grade Registration Form
 
9th graders who wish to take the exam must pay for the exam by September 20th here:  PSAT Payment 
 
11th graders who wish to take the exam by September 20th may pay for the exam here:  PSAT Payment or email Mr. Felkins to see if they are eligible for a fee waiver. mfelkins@egusd.net

Information for ordering an AP exam for the 2025/2026 School Year

In order to fully register for an AP exam. you will need to do three things before November 7th.  
 
First, if you haven’t already done so, you will need to join your AP class on College Board. Here are the instructions for joining the class. How do I join an AP class on College Board?
 
Second you will need to fill out the AP Order form which can be found here. AP Exam Order Form This form will also be distributed to your AP classroom.
 
Third, because the Elk Grove Unified School District will only be paying for AP exams for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch, you will need to figure out which of the following actions applies to you and do that.  
 
If you are eligible for a fee waiver and are already on the free and reduced lunch list for this year and receive an email telling you that you are on the list, please bring your filled out form to Mr. Felkins in HR6 by November 7th 
 
If you believe you are eligible for a fee waiver but are not on the free and reduced lunch list for this year, but did not receive an email telling you that you are on the list, complete the 2025-2026 Eligibility Meal Application to confirm eligibility, then bring your filled out AP order form to Mr. Felkins in HR6. 
 
If you need to pay for the exam, you will need to pay for the exam online and then bring in the filled out form to Mr. Felkins in HR6 by November 7th. Instructions for payment. MySchoolBucks AP Exam Payment instructions
  • Go to www.myschoolbucks.com or download the mobile app on android or apple devices
  • Create your free account and add your students using their school name / student ID
  • Select the number of exams your student wishes to take. The order form will indicated which ones to order.
  • Check out using your credit/debit card or electronic check
  • If you do not qualify for the waiver and would like to request a payment plan, please reach out to me as soon as possible.
