CLCAF Summer Internship Program

The CLCAF Summer Internship Program strives to provide high school students, particularly from underserved communities, a chance to gain a meaningful professional experience in public service. CLCAF interns are trained, mentored, and supported by experienced Capitol staff. Program participants are also given professional and academic development workshops along with educational field trips near the Capitol.  Click here for registration and more information.

Now Accepting Applications for 2018 YCC Crew Members

The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) is a well-balanced work-learn-earn program that develops an understanding and appreciation in participating youth of the nation's environment and heritage.  YCC offers gainful summer employment to youth, for approximately seven weeks, in a healthful outdoor atmosphere.  Enrollees will be paid the minimum wage for a 40-hour work week.

Work the Election

Attention High School Students! If you are 16 or 17 years of age and want to work at a Vote Center to earn extra cash or receive community service hours, download and complete this application. Make sure your parent or guardian signs the application, then mail or scan and email to PrecinctOperations@saccounty.net.  

Bilingual applicants are especially needed!

The County of Sacramento is actively recruiting bilingual Vote Center workers to serve their communities.  Your help is needed if you are fluent in English and any of the following languages:

Spanish 
Chinese 
Vietnamese 
Tagalog, or another dialect of Filipino 
Hindi 
Korean 
Japanese 
Punjabi
Hmong

Summer 2018 CyberCamps 

In support of the Greater Sacramento Region's CyberPatriot program, the Information & Communication Technologies/Digital Media Sector Team will be offering eight (8) AFA Standard CyberCamps and two (2) AFA Advanced CyberCamps for high school students (and middle school students with instructor recommendation*) at no cost to students at four regional community colleges in June 2018.

Camp Cardiac

Camp Cardiac and Camp Neuro are 1-week (Monday to Friday) summer day camps running daily from 8:30am to 4:00pm.  Both camps are open to high school students (including Spring/Summer 2018 graduates) 15-18 years of age as of first day of assigned session and currently residing in the United States. Both camps, run by local medical students in over 30 cities nationwide, serve as an ideal introduction for any high school student interested in exploring a career in medicine.  See website for an application and more information:  Camp Cardiac


Project Fashion Summer Camp

The Design and Product Development Program introduces students to a wide variety of careers in the fashion industry. Focusing on designing and developing different product categories for established brands, students will discover jobs that they didn’t even know existed such as trend forecaster, technical designer, stylist, product developer, brand manager, and more.
