Health Office

Procedures for students that are sick:

  • Students must tell the teacher they do not feel well and need a pass to the health office.  If they arrive at the health office without a pass, they will be sent back to get one so the teacher knows where they are.
  • If a student states to the teacher a parent is here, please have the student clarify where the parent is waiting (Health Office or Main Office), or the purpose for the early dismissal, so they are sent to the correct office with a pass.  Sick students leave from the Health Office, students with appointments leave from the Main Office.
  • Students should not contact their parents on their cell phones or call from the classroom, contact with the parent will be made in the health office by the health tech.  (Phones can be confiscated if used in class and turned into Administration)
  • The health office is a place for students who are sick or have health issues, they should not be sent because they are tired.
  • If a student isn’t picked up within 30 minutes, they will be sent back to class, unless they have a fever or throw up.  However, when the parent arrives, a call to the class or a pass will be sent for the student.
