SENIORS - Drive-Through Diploma Pick Up

Franklin High School is hosting a drive-thru diploma pick up for the graduating Class of 2020 on Friday, June 5, 2020 from 2:00 – 7:00 pm (time based on last name see below).  

Drive-in or drive-thru only services are permissible as long as all public health precautions and social distancing is maintained.  Graduates and their families will enter the student parking lot and weave their way through the lot up to the right-hand side of the stage.   Graduate and ONLY the graduate will exit the vehicle at a pre-determined spot on the right side of the parking lot near the small gym.

Because we have 648 graduates, and we want to avoid families having to sit for hours at a time in a car in the parking lot, we are assigning graduates specific times go through the procession, by alpha; however if you cannot come during your assigned time you may come between 2-3 PM.

2:00 - 3:00 pm - Schedule Conflicts

3:00 – 4:00 pm – Last names A – Ei

4:00 – 5:00 pm -  Last names Ej- Le

5:00 – 6:00 pm – Last names Li – Ri

6:00 – 7:00 pm – Last names Ro – Z


Drive -Thru Diploma Guidelines for Graduates and their families

  • Graduates are limited to one vehicle per family. 
  • Only the graduate and their immediate family can be in the vehicle.   
  • Graduates are expected to wear their cap and gown in order to walk across the stage. 
  • Graduates will be handed an index card as they drive in.  Graduates are expected to write their name on the index card. Please be sure to write your name, as well as the correct phonetic pronunciation.   For example:  Mrs. Albiani = Miss-us Al-Bee-On-E
  • As the vehicle pulls up to a pre-determined spot, the graduate will exit the car and stand in a socially distanced line to receive their diploma cover. 
  • Graduate will stand at the steps on the west side of the stage and wait until he/she is given the all clear to enter the stage. 
  • As the graduate enters the stage, the graduate will hand the staff member announcing their name the index card with the correct pronunciation on it.  As the graduate walks across the stage he/she’s name will be announced.    
  • After the graduate exits the stage, he /she will pick up their diploma from the staff members stationed on the east side of the stage.  Graduates MUST have their ID card in order to pick up their diploma.  Graduates having unpaid fees/fines for lost or stolen textbooks will not receive their diploma until all fees and fines are paid. 
  • Once the graduate receives his/her diploma they will get back into the car and exit the student parking lot. 
  • Only the graduate is allowed to exit the vehicle.
  • Vehicles are not allowed to park in the student parking lot at any time before, during or after the ceremony. 



Transcript Request Process:


Current students can view and print unofficial transcripts from the “Course History” page in Student Vue.   

Hello Seniors - Please click here for the attachment to order your Final Official Transcript.  Final transcripts will have Quarter 4 grades & your graduation date.  These will not begin to be processed until mid-June.  If you are going to a four-year college/university they will require a final transcript.  Please follow the directions in your college student portal for having a transcript mailed to your college.  (It's usually an address for the Office of Admissions).  There will be no electronic transcripts as previously sent by your counselor through Common App or Send Edu. 

If you are a student athlete signed up with NCAA or NAIA, you will also need to order a final transcript sent to them for your eligibility. 

Or you may have a final transcript mailed to your home address in Synergy.  There will be no picking up of transcripts, only mailing.

New Student Information In Canvas

To access, students must sign into Canvas using their single sign-on (details about this below): canvas.losrios.edu

The “single sign-on” requires students to enter their  W-ID number and their password. Students can set their password at this link: Ps.losrios.edu

 

All new students who applied to CRC for Summer or Fall 2020 will be added to an Orientation Canvas shell. This shell hosts all of the information new students will need to enroll in CRC classes; information includes:

  1. A calendar of upcoming Virtual Orientations
  2. Handouts, videos and information on how to enroll in classes, how to use zoom and how to use canvas
  3. Ability to make appointments with CRC counselors

Live “drop-in’s” with Outreach and CRC Staff

CRC’s outreach team and various other support staff members will be holding virtual office hours through Zoom.

The CRC team will be reserving blocks of time dedicated to students’ questions and concerns. Students will have access to the Zoom links through Canvas.

 

To-Do's: 

  1. Orientation 

-        Students will be provided with a live virtual college orientation to students via Zoom  

(Outreach staff is reaching out directly to all students who have applied to CRC by text)
 

Orientation for Fall begins: April 27

 

2.                Academic Counseling

Students will have an opportunity to meet with a counselor after attending an orientation.

STEM majors and Nursing majors will be asked to schedule a mandatory meeting with a counselor.

 

3.                Financial Aid 

FAFSA and CADAA applications, if not yet completed, can still be submitted.

Students MUST complete the FAFSA or CADAA to be eligible for the Los Rios Promise Program or CA Promise Grant.
