STEM Community Service

The Service program for STEM Academy participants is intended to offer students an opportunity to provide service to the community, help connect their academic studies with hands-on experiences in the community, and help them develop a sense of responsibility and commitment. It is expected that all Franklin High School students will complete the Service requirements.   This may be accomplished through a service learning project or a community service project.  A service learning project is one in which the teacher/student ties a project to the curriculum of a course. In a community service project, students find their own projects (with teacher approval).  In either case, students must meet specific requirements in order to receive credit for their service.

Open the STEM Service Learning Handbook and follow the instructions each year of your high school career to become a STEM Course Completer.
